old silo demolition on lot 77
The development took place on what was once a working farm. Here you can see the old silo being pushed over on one of the water view lots near the circle entrance to Dowry Creek. You can still see some evidence of it's existance.
Typical water view lot
Most water view lots are 90x250 and almost all have a drainage ditch at the rear. Lots closer to the entrance circle are generally not wooded and are a slightly higher elevation than the ones at either end which are generally wooded.
off water lot with fill dirt
Many lot owners choose to increase the elevation of their lots by bringing in fill material. Make SURE you check with all regulartory agencies first as there have been some isolated cases of parts or all of properties being declared as wetlands.
Common area lot & pier
Many of the waterfront lots enjoy a soutwest or westerly view and are bulkheaded. This photo is the common area lot and pier which can be enjoyed by all residents. The river (part of the ICW) is about 1 mile wide.
Elevated waterfront home
Some homeowners choose to build their homes on pilings, while others choose to build on conventional but elevated "crawl space" foundations. Protective covenants and an active HOA are in place. Contact them before building.

All modern utilities are available such as a Private sewage treatment facility, county water, underground electric, wireless internet and telephone are here too. No cable TV yet but it probably won't be long..
